A different kind of birthday wish for Raymour & Flanigan

LIVERPOOL, N.Y. — Top 100 retailer Raymour & Flanigan is partnering with Make-A-Wish as part of its 75h anniversary celebration.

The Liverpool, N.Y.-based retailer, and the nonprofit organization that helps fulfill wishes for children with critical illness, will grant life-changing wishes across the region in celebration of the third-generation retailer’s 75 years in business. Raymour & Flanigan will partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to act as a resource to the local Make-A-Wish chapters to help grant wishes in various capacities.

“Our wish on our own 75th birthday is to make wishes come true for community members in need. As the third generation of my family to serve the communities that Raymour & Flanigan touches, it’s incredibly exciting to celebrate this milestone by giving back in a big way beyond our usual programs,” said Seth Goldberg, president of Raymour & Flanigan. “We are so inspired by the impactful work Make-A-Wish does. Our associates are very excited to continue the partnership with them to help make wishes come true.”

Raymour & Flanigan kicked off the initiative with Make-A-Wish Connecticut to provide a basement makeover for Antonio Nero, a 17-year-old from Northford, Conn., who battled cancer last year before going into remission.

“Our project wishes have increased over the past few years and the timing of this partnership could not be more fitting,” said Diane Kuppermann, president & CEO of Make-A-Wish Central New York. “Headquartered in Syracuse, New York, we’ve long seen the impact of Raymour & Flanigan’s support and are so grateful for this partnership to centralize and streamline the process of ensuring that each of the nine Northeast chapters and each wish granted benefits from this treasured relationship. Together, we are bringing endless joy to wish kids when they need it most.”
