DreamWave massage chair takes CES Innovation Award

BOULDER, Colo. – Full-body shiatsu massage chair developer DreamWave’s new M.8 chair is among Innovation Awards honorees at this week’ CES 2019 consumer electronics show in Las Vegas.

The M.8 massage chair, which launched at CES, is on display at the DreamWave booth, space 20631 in the South Hall 1 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Designed in conjunction with a Japanese shiatsu master and a Boulder, Colo.-based software team, the M.8 combines Eastern massage tradition, cultivated design and Japanese engineering quality.

Designed by Ken Okuyama, the M.8 is inspired by Okuyama’s automotive roots with Porsche, Ferrari and Maserati, the M.8’s rear-swinging doors enhance massage chair convenience.

“Getting in and out of a traditional massage chair can be a challenge for older users and anyone with back issues,” Levin said.

The annual CES Innovation Awards recognize honorees across 28 product categories. A panel of judges, including designers, engineers and members of the tech media, reviews submissions based on design, functionality, consumer appeal, engineering and how the products compare with competition.
