Dux partners with pioneer of Swedish modern design for new collection

NEW YORK – Dux, a fourth-generation family-owned luxury mattress and home furnishings company has launched a new furniture collection, which is now available in the U.S. market.

The collection honors a decades-long collaboration with Bruno Mathsson, the pioneer of ‘Swedish Modern’ design.

“We’re thrilled to expand our product line and share Dux’s nearly 100 years of knowledge and expertise, starting with the recognition that one’s sleep and comfort starts with the mattress, and transcends throughout the bedroom, home and home office,” said Henrik Ljung, Dux CEO. “Classic Scandinavian modern design and seamless integration of function and form continues to resonate with the U.S. market; our pieces designed in collaboration with the legendary Bruno Mathsson are ready for the next generation.”

Pieces include:

  • The Pernilla 69 is a classic easy chair with natural beech wood frame, woven linen support fabric and full-aniline tufted leather cushion and headrest. Starting at $7,285, the chair comes with an optional matching footstool.
  • The Jetson chair, named for the American television family, features a bowl-shaped seat, ergonomically designed high back with head pillow, and chrome swivel base with a self-return mechanism. Starting at $5,095, the chair is available in leather and fabric.
  • The Karin armchair was the first piece in the collection, originally designed in 1969. A chrome-plated, stainless-steel frame with castors featuring button tufted cushions with matching support fabric. Starting at $6,065, the chair also has an optional matching footstool.
  • The Ingrid armchair showcases a high back for neck support and button tufting in both the seat and back cushion with a natural beech wood frame and start at $9,280.

Rounding out the mid-century modern collection are the Spider chair, Superspider lounge chair and the Ritzy Sofa collection.

  • The contemporary Spider Chair features chrome legs and six oblong cushions, modernized from its 1982 design to include the Pascal springs, which is a new spring system, that is proprietary to Dux.
  • The Superspider blurs the line between an armchair and chaise lounge and is available in both leather or shearling.
  • The leather Ritzy Sofa is available in three-, two- and one-seats, features the Pascal spring-core seat cushions, and is available in three colors with stainless steel legs.

The full furniture collection is now available for purchase online and in select flagship showrooms.
