Fendi Casa unveils its first U.S. flagship store


MIAMI — Fendi Casa is opening its first flagship store in the U.S. in the heart of the Miami Design District.

The new store, at 4120 NE 2nd Ave., is opening to coincide with the start of DesignMiami, an international design fair for collectors, gallery owners, designres, curators and others. Each year, Fendi presents a special projects in partnership with designers such as Chiara Andreatti, Cristina Celestino, Dimorestudio, Formafantasma and Peter Mabeo. Some of these are being reissued and are now part of the new Fendi Casa Collection.

Highlighted pieces include Piero Lissoni’s Ohe outdoor seating system, Marcel Wanders’ O’Lock mirror and the Matrice bookcase, in steel and crystal, designed by Dimorestudio. In addition, the new boutique hosts a piece by Lukas Gschwandtner, Vienna-based artist invited this year from Fendi at Design Miami/, who has proposed a formation of chaise lounge chairs, along with his series Pillow Portraits.

The boutique in Miami spans nearly 2,000 square feet and features a minimal façade in the shades of black and white, with large windows. Structured on two levels, the space features the Fashion Furniture Design (FF Design) logo transformed into a pattern on the walls, while the ceilings are adorned with relief decorations.

A special space of the flagship store is the Materioteca, a room in which customers, architects and interior designers can sample, through an immersive experience, the entire range of materials and finishes in the Fendi Casa Collection.
