FurnitureDealer.net releases new user-optimized web platform

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Industry website and omnichannel marketing company FurnitureDealer.net has designed a new website platform called Rev that’s built around a hassle-free user experience.

“Shopping has changed,” said Alex Kirsch, FurnitureDealer.net vice president of client solutions. “Your online experience needs to be exceptional. Shoppers don’t care that you don’t have the same website budget as Wayfair, Target or Amazon. Those are the websites they’re shopping and they expect that same level of experience from any company.”

For the past two years, a team from FurnitureDealer.Net has analyzed the behavior of the 4 million shoppers who use its website platform each month, researched emerging web design and user experience trends, and analyzed more than 200 of the best retail websites.

Kirsch said the company leveraged all of this research to rebuild its website platform from the ground up with a mobile-first mindset. Nearly 70% of visitors to FurnitureDealer.net’s network of furniture retailer websites are using mobile devices, he said.

FurnitureDealer.Net is rolling out Rev now to all its premium clients.

Rev is the latest of several tech upgrades for the company so far this year. Last month, FurnitureDealer.net rolled out a shopper engagement platform that includes lead generation and customer relationship management (CRM), in June the company partnered with Wells Fargo to enable shoppers to more easily apply to obtain credit, and last month the company launched a new mobile-first two-step checkout process.
