Georgia-based outdoor furniture company to create nearly 200 jobs

ATLANTA – The Georgia-based post-consumer recycled furniture manufacturer, SoPoly, is expanding its operations in Dodge County and will be adding some 200 jobs as it celebrates its first anniversary.

SoPoly has already begun hiring for new positions and plans to invest $5 million in its Eastman operations due to demand for its outdoor furniture products.

Since opening in January 2021, SoPoly employs 30 at its 70,000 square-foot facility. The company will be hiring for positions in its extrusion, routing and assembly departments.

In addition to outdoor Adirondack chairs and chaise lounges, SoPoly manufactures outdoor dining sets and side tables. All the manufacturer’s products are crafted with 100% recyclable plastic, are weather resistant and carry a 20-year residential warranty and a 5-year commercial warranty. SoPoly’s furniture is available through direct purchase online as well as through outdoor retailers across the Southeastern U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.

“SoPoly’s rapid expansion is a testament to the people of Georgia and an impressive reminder of all the opportunities for growth available in rural Georgia,” said Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp. “I congratulate SoPoly and the community of Eastman in developing a project that will have a positive long-term effect for the hardworking Georgians in Dodge County.”
