Joybird goes fearlessly bold with latest Dani Dazey collection

LOS ANGELES — Joybird, a wholly owned unit of La-Z-Boy Incorporated and manufacturer of customizable, modern upholstered furniture, is collaborating with Dani Dazey the interior, print and fashion designer.

Featuring modern furniture frames and accessories in bold prints and luxe fabrics, the company is creating a limited-edition Joybird x Dani Dazey collection.

“One of Joybird’s mantras from the very beginning has been ‘be boldly you,’ and Dani Dazey’s designs couldn’t embody that more,” said Gifty Walker, director of merchandising and sourcing at Joybird. “Our entire team is so excited to launch this maximalism decor collection that’s retro with a fresh, modern twist and provides our customers with fun pieces that are both boldly original and timeless classics.”

The maximalist-inspired collection features two Dani Dazey signature prints, Sunny Chevy and Deco Peacock, in a range of styles. Sunny Chevy combines a ’70s-inspired floral motif with a marigold and orange chevron all on a soft woven chenille. The Joybird products in the Sunny Chevy print include the Daya modular sofa and storage ottoman and the Soto chair, cushions and cover set and decorative throw pillows.

Deco Peacock is an Art Deco print in velvet with an abstract modern twist. The products featured in the Deco Peacock print include the Dania bed, Diane modular chaise sectional, Carly swivel chair, Soto cushions and covers Set and decorative throw pillows.

“As a print, fashion, and interior designer, partnering with Joybird is truly my dream collaboration,” said Dazey. “I’m a maximalist at heart and believe deeply in self-expression in all parts of your life, from the home to what you wear. My work is heavily influenced by vintage design with the common thread throughout being bold and embracing color and pattern.

“Punchy prints on furniture are overdue for a comeback, and Joybird is the perfect partner for this, being a brand that also embraces color and retro silhouettes. I really hope this collection brings joy to people and empowers them to choose daring designs in their everyday life.”

Starting out as a DTC company, Joybird has expanded from purely digital to physical locations as well, most recently in Los Angeles. Customers can purchase the Joybird x Dani Dazey collection online at and experience it in Joybird showrooms starting on April 12.
