Sarreid takes on COVID-19 challenge

WILSON, N.C. – COVID-19-related restrictions on personal contact and travel present vendors with unprecedented challenges in telling their product story to retail and designer partners. Some companies are stepping up with new methods and ideas.

High-end full-line resource Sarreid Ltd., for example, has come up with ways to share its High Point showroom experience in advance of a postponed April market. In a letter to customers outlining Sarreid’s plans, COO Brad Cates noted that while in recent weeks “conversations in all settings have been focused on the impact of the COVID-19 virus,” it’s important to focus on what the company can control.

That means providing products and services as before, “but in a whole new way,” and is developing new digital platforms to do that.

“Our team is working hard to create new avenues to bring the showroom to you,” Cates said. Sarreid has several initiatives on the way in coming days and weeks.

First, a drone video of Sarreid’s High Point showroom will provide a virtual 360-degree tour of all products there.

Sarreid also will produce hundreds of product videos to help customers make purchasing decisions by giving a better feel for the product than photography alone. To back that up, a brand new digital catalog is in the works and will be launched in the coming weeks.

“We are working closely with our sales reps and providing them the with the latest iPad tools to help conduct virtual meetings with our dealers and designers,” Cates added. “The ever-evolving Sarreid website has up to date stock information and is becoming more and more user-friendly.”

Sarreid will continue to update customers on product and service issues as the situation develops.

Cates introduced Sarreid’s new intitiatives in this video.
