Turkish furniture to take stage at IIFF 2022

ISTANBUL, Turkey — The Istanbul International Furniture Fair 2022, organized by the Federation of Furniture Assn.s, the Tüyap Fair Organization and Mos Fair Organization, is set for Jan. 25-30, 2022.

The trade show, one of the largest furniture fairs in Europe, will be held simultaneous at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center and Istanbul Congress Center in Istanbul, welcoming attendees from 80 countries, including the European Union, the Middle East, the Balkan countries and the Turkic republics. The trade show venues feature 25 halls with a total area of 260,000 square meters.

The Turkish furniture industry ships products to some 200 countries, exporting goods valued at more than $4 billion.

“Today, we rank among the top eight leading furniture exports, and our share in the world furniture market is 2%,” said Ahmet Güleç, chairman of the Federation of Furniture Assns. “Ranking among the top five in world’s export and achieving export value of $10 billion are among our goals for 2023.”

The event will showcase a range of furniture, including modern and modular furniture, luxury furniture, nursery, children’s and teen room furniture, beds and bases, office, school and education, accessories and outdoor furniture, in addition to upholstery fabrics.
