Vilo Home enters upholstery category; doubles showroom space


HIGH POINT – Along with a doubling of its showroom size, case goods supplier Vilo Home has a big launch planned for the spring High Point Market.

The company will unveil Vilo Modern, which encompasses multiple new collections across many categories.

“We have seen a shift in the market from rustic to modern, and we want to be on the forefront by introducing products relevant to today’s consumer,” said president Robert Sala. “You’ll find bedroom, entertainment and mixed media dining such as marble, concrete and glass throughout our Modern lineup.

“You’ll also find five new upholstery sets – which is a new category for us – including sofas and sectionals with boucle, chenille and linen fabrics. Upholstery has always been the next thing for us to do.”

Sala said the company will also unveil four new bedroom sets, 18 entertainment pieces and 12 dining sets.

Price points vary, but Sala said loveseats and sectionals will retail for $1,599, while dining sets will go for $1,999. TV stands, which feature no-tool assembly, will range from $399 to $799.

Sala said 70% of everything that’s new is already at the company’s warehouse or on the water. Vilo imports from Vietnam, China and Malaysia.

The company has also doubled its showroom space in time for market. “By more than doubling our showroom space, we are able to show more of our current goods,” said Sala. “We’ll also have an electrifying expansion of new products not seen since our inception.”

Sala predicts a strong showing at market.

“A lot of retailers want to see something new,” he said. “Many have been seeing same old thing. Some retailers still may be oversupplied on all items. But others are only oversupplied on some things, and others – like smaller, independent stores – aren’t oversupplied at all. Others yet are doing extremely well.”

Vilo Home’s showroom is at Center Point on Hamilton, showroom 223.
